US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that he would impose more tariffs on the EU, adding that his administration was discussing an additional 10% tariff on Chinese imports starting February 1, because fentanyl is shipped to the US from China via Mexico and Canada.

During Trump's first term as US president, an enormous tariff had been exerted on China, and that the EU and other countries also had trade imbalances with the US, Trump said.
