Hong Kong Airlines plans to return to the long-haul international market early next year and transform into an international airline. It is also poised to resume routes to the Gold Coast and Vancouver in January 2025, with the fleet expected to expand to about 30 aircraft by the end of this year.

The number of flights this year has returned to pre-pandemic levels, with an average load factor of about 85%, the airline said. It expected the annual passenger volume to exceed 5 million, meeting expectations.
