Alibaba.com Pairs with Mastercard to Launch Commercial Credit Card for US Buyers

Alibaba.com, a subsidiary of BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US), announced a partnership with Mastercard (MA.US) to launch a co-branded commercial credit card for the US market on the Alibaba.com platform.

The card will provide cross-border purchasing enterprises with 3% cashback, 60-day interest-free credit, platform purchasing discounts, shipping discounts, and more. It is expected to effectively expand the purchasing scale of overseas buyers and help merchants receive more orders.

Zhang Kuo, President of Alibaba.com, said that continuously improving the security and convenience of cross-border procurement payment services has always been a pivotal part of Alibaba.com's global minimalist trade strategy.

He said that Alibaba.com Pay, the financial services brand under Alibaba.com, is committed to providing small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises with a safe and reliable cross-border B-type cash collection solution for all scenarios. So far, it has served more than 200,000 enterprises and ensured the security of receiving approximately US$200 billion in foreign exchange.
