Apple's (AAPL.US) main suppliers in India, Foxconn and Tata, shipped nearly US$2 billion worth of iPhones to the United States in March, setting a record high, according to foreign media reports citing customs data.

Concerned about higher costs from Trump's tariffs, Apple has stepped up production in India and chartered cargo flights to ship up to 600 tons of iPhones to the United States to ensure it has enough inventory in one of its largest markets.
